Shape our future
This spring, we are seeking volunteers to join our Board of Directors and Advisory Circle to help nurture a more just and caring ecosystem in arts and culture.
Why now?
We are entering a new chapter and inviting people to help shape our future.
For the first time, we are eligible to apply for core funding from Canada Council for the Arts. This could be a gamechanger for us, helping to realize long-delayed transitions to a shared leadership model and increased investments in accessibility with Deaf, Disabled, and other justice-deserving groups.
However, more than a dozen board members have retired over the past few years and have not been replaced due to the ripple effects of the pandemic. We are seeking to expand and renew our governance to ensure our leadership reflects our values and the communities we serve ahead of our core funding application later this spring. Can you help us renew and shape our governance into a stronger foundation for the future?
What’s involved
Board Members steward fiduciary governance, finances, policies, and long‑term strategy to ensure the organization is accountable, sustainable, and mission‑aligned. They also build community trust by acting as ambassadors, listening to community needs, and supporting strong relationships and partnerships.
Advisory Circle Members offer flexible, non‑governing insight grounded in lived experience, professional practice, and community knowledge. Their perspectives help shape programs, partnerships, and future directions.
A good fit
These opportunities are a good fit if you are curious about arts, culture, technology, disability justice, shared ownership, open‑source technology, cooperative models, and long‑term systems change. We strongly encourage applications from justice‑deserving communities of all kinds across Canada.
Our preferred deadline to apply is May 8, 2026. However, the opportunities will remain open until filled.
If you are drawn to thoughtful leadership and building futures rooted in care, we would love to hear from you.
