Happy anniversary to us!
ArtsPond is five years old this August, and we’re thriving with thanks to the tremendous support of individuals like you.
Of all occasions, our fifth (“turquoise”) anniversary is perhaps a special milestone to commemorate. Not only due to its innate colour-kinship with our brand, but to the stark reality that only 70% of small business startups in Canada survive to their fifth year, or 50% in the USA. Like waves and streams of water, we remain fluid and adaptable to rapidly changing circumstances and yet gradually, patiently , persistently wearing down resistance and making way for stable, healthy communities.
We will never take our own success for granted and commit ourselves to another five years of seeing change differently in ways that benefit marginalized, under-served communities in arts and culture. With this spirit in mind, our entire 2019-20 season is dedicated to becoming a better advocate for increased accessibility of differently-abled arts and culture workers.
