What does a positive digital future look like to you?
This winter, we are delighted to introduce, So Far: A Manifesto for a Positive Digital Future. This living resource brings together community voices from across Canada and offers a grounded vision for five steps to a digital life that feels human, creative, just, and accessible for all.
The Manifesto was written from 2024 to 2025 and builds on years of listening through ArtsPond’s DigitalASO public consultations from 2020 to 2023. The digital world has shifted quickly since. Artificial intelligence, platform power, and environmental concerns now shape how artists, gig workers, and small creative groups experience digital life. The Manifesto helps bridge past insights with present realities by naming what communities told us matters most: humanity, agency, belonging, access, and shared stewardship.
Inside, you will find a hopeful, justice‑rooted direction for digital futures in arts and culture. These ideas are not final. They are offered as starting points, ready to be adapted, challenged, expanded, and renewed through ongoing dialogue.
We invite you to read, reflect, and share your thoughts. Your input will help shape the next chapter of digital care and creativity in Canada.
