This Spring, we are pleased to announce the launch of Access Art, a new collaborative effort to explore and challenge what shapes art spaces and places.
Access Art focuses on accessibility mapping of permanent public art pieces in Toronto for the 2021 Year of Public Art. Expressions of interest are being accepted now for paid roles for artists with disabilities. Phase 1 roles include participation in a collaborative design workshopping process and exploring public art pieces and surrounding spaces. A limited number of support and documentation roles are also available.
Access Art is produced in association with curator/producer Devon Ostrom, and is generously funded by Canada Council for the Arts’ Digital Strategy Fund and City of Toronto’s ArtworxTO: Toronto’s Year of Public Art.
