We are excited to share an inspiring collection of new works from 9 youth<\/a><\/strong> who reflected on their personal stories from a world in crisis and explored ways creative young people in arts and culture can guide positive social change and deepen access to care in the future. These pieces were created over several months as a part of Caring Cultures 2025<\/em><\/strong>, a fellowship including artists, producers, and other creative gig workers aged 18 to 35 from around the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.<\/p>\n

Together, the Fellows produced nearly 30,000 words, two dozen images, and a mix of audio, video, and other multimedia pieces. Their work draws upon lived experiences, touching on disability, illness, identity, cultural memory, land connection, joy, grief, and the everyday realities of supporting others while learning how to care for themselves. Some pieces offer tender accounts of what it feels like to navigate a world in ongoing crisis. Others imagine new practices and possibilities for how young people can lead care\u2011centered change.<\/p>\n

One Fellow shared that caring futures begin with being able to show up as we are. These projects bring that idea to life. They remind us that when young people are trusted, supported, and listened to, they create powerful pathways toward more compassionate and connected communities.<\/p>\n

We invite you to explore these works, take your time, and let them spark new conversations about how youth can guide the future of care and social change.<\/p>\n
