We are beyond excited to launch open calls for two new creative fellowships in Ontario:
I Love My Gig Ontario brings together 13 creatives of all ages from across Ontario to reflect on lessons from the Covid-19 pandemic and to explore how caring practices in arts and culture, including mutual aid, can help address future threats to personal and collective wellbeing. Each fellow will receive a $2,000 fee with creative support available from mentors, care doulas, and peers.
Caring Cultures brings together 8 creative youth aged 18 to 35 years from the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area to explore how arts and culture can spark meaningful youth-led social change and care in the face of complex personal and global challenges from the climate crisis to social inequities and more. Each fellow will receive a $3,000 fee with creative support available from mentors, care doulas, and peers.
The deadline to apply for both fellowships has been extended to December 13, 2024 at 5 pm Eastern (formerly December 2, 2024, at 5 pm).
Both fellowships take place online from late February to early May 2025. They are open to Indigenous, Racialized, d/Deaf, Disabled, and those living Outside the Core in suburban, rural, or remote communities.
