This winter and spring, ArtsPond has been working on convening the inaugural Arts Working Group on Charitable Venture Platforms (AWG). Open to individuals, arts and non-arts entities from across Canada, the proposed goals for AWG are as follows:
1- To increase collaboration and networking among charitable venture platforms locally and nationally
2– To research and develop communication collaterals (i.e., briefs, manifestos, testimonials) to enhance understanding of the importance and relevance of charitable venture platforms
3– To explore affiliations, partnerships, and shared learning opportunities with other arts organizations and non-arts entities with an interest in the emergence of charitable venture platforms
4– To develop frameworks to support enhanced collaboration and knowledge sharing, and dissemination of learning outcomes to the broader community
5– To reflect Canadian arts and culture by empowering the emergence of charitable venture platforms from as many diverse communities as possible.
The first meeting of AWG took place on March 8, 2016. A second meeting is in the works for May 2016. Want to get involved? Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Please confirm times you are available to meet in May via the following doodle poll.
